We're in the home straight for the highly sought after QTIS Premiership titles and the race is on!
Michael Nolan, ( pictured ) Less Ross and Matt Dunn were the best performing QTIS 2yo trainers in June, but their efforts weren't enough to change the standings on the seasonal table.
Ben Currie remains on top spot with $157,250, Lyle Wright is in second on $128,700 and Les Ross is a placing behind him with $128,500 QTIS bonus prizemoey in the bank so far this season.
With a month to go, and prizemoney back to third it could go anyway; this is one of the closest QTIS 2YO Premierships that we've seen.
It's a slightly different story for the 3YO Premiership, with Robert Heathcote currently maintaining a comfortable lead on $233,400, Ben Currie is next with $164,950 and fellow Toowoomba trainer, Tony Sears has banked $130,000 in QTIS Bonus prizemoney so far this season to be sitting in third.
Sears moved up into that position after good results in June saw him collect $25,450 in QTIS bonuses to be the top 3YO trainer for the month, followed by Robert Heathcote with $23,250 and David Vandyke on $21,250.
The top 2YO QTIS Performer still could go either way, with just placing prizemoney separating the top two horses; Pennino (by Easy Rocking) has $100,200 but Changeintheweather's good filly, Cyclone Topgirl, isn't far behind with $92,700. Blue Book remains in third position with $77,000 in QTIS bonus prizemoney for the season.
Unconditional (by Jet Spur) had a great June, winning $40,000 in QTIS bonus prizemoney and being the leading QTIS 2yo for the month. The Fire Trap enjoyed a good metro win to earn $24,500 in QTIS prizemoney and place second while Lope for Joya was third with $14,550.
Crystal Amor, She's Up Beat and Basara were the top three 3yo QTIS runners in June, but their efforts had no impact on the seasonal table where Bat a Kat, by Falvelon remains on top with $68,800. Mishani Bullitt (by Show a Heart) isn't far behin on $65,300 and Hang, by Clang could also still take the 3yo Premiership title coming from this with $56,000 in QTIS bonus prizemoney so far this season.
All three premierships are open and could go any way.
