The first crop weanlings of our foundation stallion Spill The Beans (pictured) turned heads this week when averaging over $41,000 on Day 1 of the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.
Lot 291 who was knocked down to Segenhoe Stud for $50,000 from the draft of Kitchwin Hills was the highest-priced weanling from Kitchwin’s 2018 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale draft.
Trained by Gerald Ryan, Spill The Beans was a fast, precocious, undefeated 2YO, who matured at three to win multiple Group races before retiring to stud. He was the busiest first season sire in 2016 in Australia and has covered 345 mares in his first two seasons at stud.
Spill The Beans is a stallion that is well positioned to continue the boom of Queensland stallions; success nationally and has unparalleled support with all Aquis-bred first crop foals committed to join our racing division, along with the two Spill The Beans weanlings that Aquis purchased at this week’s sale.
There are eight mares offered in-foal to Spill The Beans at the upcoming Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.
Highlights include the proven black-type producer Beheshta offered as Lot 899 from the draft of Lucas Bloodstock and the Group 3 winner La Rumba, Lot 1553, offered by Aquis.
