Wattle Brae stallion Mahisara (pictured) has recorded his first 2YO winner with Mishani Krishna saluting in Toowoomba on Saturday night.
It was the first start for the Ben Currie trained filly and thanks to a brilliant ride by Michael Murphy, Mishani Krishna settled third, before making her move at the 400m to win by half a length in the 870m Audi Centre Toowoomba to pocket $19,550 thanks to the QTIS bonus of $11,750.
It was a good day for Mahisara, with another filly, Miss Sara, placing second in the Watpac Open 2yo at Doomben.
Trainer, Les Ross is impressed with the youngster who has now had two placings from two starts after running third in a 2yo Maiden on the Sunshine Coast a fortnight ago.
Miss Sara has now won $24,500 thanks to QTIS bonuses worth $12,300.
