A first-class field has been shortlisted to win trophies at the UBET 2017 Australian Racehorse of the Year Awards, which for the first time will take place in Brisbane on Sunday, October 8, 2017.
A champion horse in seven categories will be announced on the night, with trophies also awarded to the leading jockey, trainer, sire and the Australian Racehorse of the Year.
Racing Queensland (RQ) chief executive officer Dr Eliot Forbes said: “We are thrilled to be hosting the 2017 Australian Racehorse of the Year Awards in Brisbane. I look forward to celebrating some remarkable achievements in the 2016/17 season with industry participants from across the country.”
