The champagne was flowing in the winner's lounge at Clifford Park on Saturday night as one Tycoon Ruler bred galloper after another recorded memorable victories to give a winning treble for owners Bob and Maree Frappell of Clear Mountain Fairview.

Tycoon Ruler only had the three progeny racing for the day and they did not disappoint as they notched up three more impressive wins for the sire.

The sons of Tycoon Ruler; Tycoon's Pride, Tycoon Cat and Tycoon Tattoo ensured their runs were nothing short of notable as the chilling weather set in for what will be remembered by the Frappell's as a thrilling night of racing.

"You always wish for a winner when you come to the races, but to walk away with three from three, we could not have asked for anything more," Bob and Maree Frappell said after their third winner.

Tycoon's Pride (G3 Tycoon Ruler-Proud) kicked off the winning treble in the Happy Retirement Phil Wild Class 3 Handicap over 1300 meters (race one) by recording a four and three quarter length victory for trainer Michael Nolan.

Race caller Pat O'Shea explained the start as it looked like Tycoon's Pride was "shanghai out of the barriers" and with Kenji Yoshida in the saddle, it was a hands and heels ride to record a new track and class record of 1.17.45 seconds.

The previous class record of 1.19.50 seconds was held by current Weetwood winner Poor Judge when he collected his third career win on July 18, 2009.

The track record of 1.17.95 seconds was previously held by 2009 Weetwood winner Voice Commander when he arrived from the South to take home the bragging rights on the new surface at the track grand opening.

O'Shea described the run of Tycoon Pride's as "this (win) will go down into the record books".

Tycoon Cat (G2 Tycoon Ruler-La Catalina) was the second leg of the winning treble when he "shot through on the inside" for a one and three quarter length win to snatch the $20,500 QTIS 600 winner's purse in the two-year-old Maiden over 1100 meters.

With local jockey Phillip Wolfgram in the saddle and under the guidance of local trainer Tony Sears, O'Shea announced " it (the win) was done in outstanding fashion".

What a night it was shaping up to be... two from two and one still one runner to come!

The last leg of the Tycoon Ruler winning bonanza was with speed machine Tycoon Tattoo who lined up in the 7 News Handicap Class 4 over 1000 meters (race five).

Although jumping from the wide alley, barrier seven, Tycoon Tattoo "zoomed around the field" to be seven lengths clear at the 600 meter mark.

A hands and heel ride by apprentice Tatts Fujinuma, Tycoon Tattoo cantered across the post for a three length victory and a new class record.

This latest record is added the three-year-old's collection of the three records he smashed at Ipswich, Eagle Farm and also at Clifford Park.

O'Shea said after the win "he (Tycoon Tattoo) is far too good for them" and Fujinuma noted "this is the best horse I've ever ridden".

The winning treble was a first for owners Bob and Maree Frappell as well as the sire Tycoon Ruler who stands at Clear Mountain Fairview.

The best previous record was when they recorded a winning double on April 30 at Clifford park with Tycoon Is In and Tycoon Tattoo, but unfortunately they were both not trackside for the wins.

Toowoomba Turf Club chairman Col Zeller said after the winning bonanza "I have sat on the committee for 16 years and in my whole time here at the club, I have never seen the same owners win three races at the one meeting".

Tycoon Cat and Tycoon Tattoo were both passed in at the Magic Millions Yearling Sales and although Tycoon Tattoo attracted overseas interest after his head turning trial, his size was questionable as he stands at only 15.3hh.

Isn't it lucky for Bob and Maree that they could never measure the size of his heart.
